Local tour operators in Longyearbyen organise all sorts of adventurous excursions, from boat trips and dog sledding adventures to snowmobiling and quad bike tours; visitors can also borrow bikes free of charge at the tourist information office. With views over a bird-filled fjord towards mountains in the middle distance, this spectacular campsite attracts guests seeking a peaceful and highly scenic stay in Arctic nature. The site is regularly visited by wildlife such as curious reindeer, leucistic barnacle geese and numerous other migratory birds.
